Training Packages
Recommended for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), teachers, educators, and administrators.
Professional Development Package
The package includes five sessions:
1. Psychological Safety & Community Guidelines (30-45 minutes)
Facilitators will guide attendees in mindfully building a brave community & creating “rules of engagement” to promote genuine and authentic participation in training sessions. Raising Consciousness Consulting, LLC is committed to making sure all voices are heard and accounted for.
2. Defining Purpose (60-75 minutes)
Attendees will explore & ground in their “why” behind choosing to work in the education sector. Participants will identify/prioritize goals for the upcoming academic year, identify barriers to meeting goals, and identify additional supports and resources needed to overcome barriers to meeting goals.
3. Childhood Development (60-75 minutes)
Attendees will gain fundamental knowledge about Erik Erikson’s Stages of Childhood Psychosocial Development and will learn about the overlap between psychosocial development and education. Stakeholders will leave with a greater understanding of how to appropriately respond to students based on their stage of psychosocial development.
4. Implicit Bias (75-90 minutes)
Attendees will gain a deeper knowledge, understanding, and awareness of the concept of implicit bias and its impacts on educational practices, policies, and pedagogies. Facilitators will guide attendees in exploring internal and external factors that contribute to implicit bias. Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of the impacts of implicit bias on professional identity, practices, policies, and pedagogies, and will create goals that will help them mitigate their implicit biases in the upcoming school year.
5. Trauma Informed Teaching (75-90 minutes)
Attendees will increase their knowledge and awareness of what trauma is and how to recognize common trauma/stress responses. Facilitators will support attendees in identifying their individual trauma/stress responses and recognizing how it impacts themselves, students, and others. Attendees will learn and practice grounding strategies that will teach them ways to better manage difficult situations and/or emotions.
Overcoming Personal and Community Challenges Package
The package includes the following modules:
1. Having Difficult Conversations
2. Crisis Response (Part One): DCFS & Mandatory Reporting 101
3. Crisis Response (Part Two):
Suicidal/Homicidal Ideation
Building and Integrating Community Resources Package
The package includes the following modules:
1. Managing Relationships
Attendees will receive training on managing the following types of relationships:
- Parent/Child
- Teacher/Student
- Colleagues or Peers
2. Self-care
3. Redefining Your Professional Purpose

CEU/CLU
Presentations
